Sorry to hear that MrO, we downsized a few years ago and now live in a Lifestyle Village, fantastic friends, great community, best move we made. Semi retired, down to 2 days a week, love it. Community is the best thing, hope you have a great one.

I had about 60 meters of books and journals. Gave away 15, moved with me about 8. Mainly cooking, art, poetry. The rest will be sold or shredded.

I rue the day I have to give up my books.

How very sad, MrOoijer, to think that cherished books might be shredded. Is there no one to whom you could donate them - a hospital or nursing home or prison library perhaps I hope that your move will bring you new friends and community to make up for the loss of your printed companions.
